Love love loved my stay here. It was just for 1 night (taking Bernina Express the next day) unfortunately but still great.
Pros: It was super nice and clean and they have free drinking water in the lounge which was luckily only next door to my room! They also provided free metal water bottles you can use to get the water and bring home as a nice souvenir. Room was warm, cosy and spacious (mine was the family junior suite). Very modern and contemporary design. Location was easy to find from tirano station, about 8min walk away but it's a pleasant walk through the very picturesque town. Check in was very easy, all done through whatsapp and they just leave your card on the reception desk with no one around. I guess in switzerland trust is a huge thing and you just have to trust that someone else isnt going to "steal" your room.
Cons: There isnt any staff around except for 5-7pm so if you need any help at other times, god forbid đ there is a number you can whatsapp but the response times are unpredictable. My room was on the first floor and people were making a lot of noise in the square just across the hotel so that was an issue. Also, the toilet is all frosted glass so your silhouette can be very clearly seen when youre taking a shower. Kind of awkward if youre travelling with a friend. Maybe consider having a curtain to block the glass? Idk.
Overall, if i come back to tirano, definitely staying here again!
