Well if you are looking for a cheap getaway with decent accommodation, this is the place to be.

Allocated a sizeable room (no. 11). Staff pleasant, clean room, excellent set breakfast, walk in shower and short 10 minute stroll to town.

Our main complaint concerned the lack of heating in the room. We stayed here during the coldest week in September (10th to 14th) and on the first night we asked for the heating to be turned on but were informed they do not put the heating on this time of the year!! The following morning I tackled them again about this and the heating was on that second evening. I asked for the heating to be put on for 2 hours in the morning and the same again in the evening, as most guests are out during the day. As we had to vacate our room from 10am to 1pm for room service we left our window open for fresh air and condensation removal and closed it on our return. On the third day I had to ask for the heating to be turned on yet again at around 7pm only to be informed it had been turned on. It was not. Shortly afterwards a knock on our door to confirm it had now been turned on and that as I leave our window open it was a complete waste of energy to heat our room. I was completely shocked to be blamed for their lack of consideration and care of their guests. When they service the room, they are at liberty to close the window but chose not to.
Whilst this hotel is a 3 star budget, I was surprised with the shabbiness and dirty carpets of the place, although our sheets were clean and the shower/WC had been refurbished to a good standard, but no shelving or cupboards in the shower room.
We were offered a full breakfast but there was no fresh fruit available, so we had to take our own. Breakfast was quite late at 8.30am.
We decided to leave a day early and have learnt a valuable lesson, never book this hotel again
