Had the best 24 hrs, the staff was attentive from the moment I arrived. Every detail thought of and so well taken care of. 24 hrs wasn’t enough but still found myself totally relaxed by time I left. From walks to the beach, food, drinks at the bar, pool/spa…unforgettable. Will be back!

Always wanted to come to the Chewton Glen and Wow - amazing hotel and such attention to detail. Staff were accommodating and helpful and welcoming without being overbearing. Used to work in the hotel trade and the management and staff have really cracked it. James Martin restaurant was great as well as breakfast and the spa was awesome. Also lovely touch we could use the spa all day on the day of our departure. Will definitely be back.

Where to start.
We were to stay for 2 nights, but we left after 1. The hotel is being renovated and it’s wildly disorganised, in too many ways to type out. The outdoor pool is closed as it’s winter, fine, but it wouldn’t hurt to empty the swampy water out and put a cover on the pool. The grounds are also looking very in need of a tidy. Breakfast was fine but no signage to find it (in a temp location). We upgraded slightly and our view was the swamp pool outside. The staff were very mixed, but we felt like an inconvenience regularly, no guidance as to dinner recommendations in the hotel or any activities for kids etc. Pool was ok, sort of chilly. Limited hours for kids (again fine, it’s a nice spa hotel). I had high hopes for this hotel and we selected it over Four Seasons Hampshire, but that was a mistake and we absolutely wouldn’t return.
Oh also the manager was supposed to phone us to follow up, but unsurprisingly that did not happen.
