I arrived and the doors were locked. After knocking on the door, a gentlemen let me in and just mumbled some things in German and looked very frustrated. After 10 minutes of him pacing around, pushing papers around, he finally said the hotel was closed and arrangements were made for me to go to another hotel 1.6 km away. He said the alternative hotel was a better hotel and its all paid for but offered only a general explanation (maintenance issue) of why the hotel was closed. After flying 32 hours from Australia, it is not something you expect to have to deal with on arrival. I questioned my I wasn't notified but he said they couldn't find a way to get in touch with me. That seemed odd to me as they could have just connected me by message service via the booking agent. So very disappointing, but in the end, the alternative hotel was much better so I can stew on this too much, but just not what one would expect on arrival to a hotel.

Thank you for the nice room. Very accommodating Staff while serving good breakfast. We just observed that during that time, the elevator is under repair. But to sum it up, very convenient place for the tourist where you can roam and tour anytime around the city because it's near the central station..

The room I had was below the cleanliness standards that I am used to. There was a foul odor that was most likely caused by mold, the floor mat was covered in dust and I also saw multiple bugs on the bathroom floor. Other than that, the hotel was ok
