A change of ownership has meant a change of menu so a lot of the dishes that were on offer (as we’ve stayed here many times before) have changed or been taken off which is disappointing. They’ve also changed the beer. So I would recommend but with the change of menu it’s not welcomed. Speaking to many of the staff they are also disappointed with the food changes and the removal of signature dishes.

Lovely 2 night stay at the Cairngorm Hotel .,
Location brilliant .. right in the centre .. near shops , neighbouring bars and restaurants and bus stop across the road from the hotel .
Staff friendly , polite and very helpful .
My room was spotless.
Will definitely return .

This place felt so cosy and comfortable. The food was so good and the bar had a fantastic atmosphere. Brilliant location, directly across the road from the train station and bus stops with lots of eating options nearby. The staff were super friendly

Where do I start !! After a 6 -7 hour drive I arrived at premises at approx 10am . Asked whether I could get a drink whilst waiting for my room . Reply was breakfast had finished and bar would open at 11am. Which I did wait and walked into the bar area at 10.59am . To be confronted who let you in here !! I replied myself why !! Answer it’s not open for another minute !! 🤣 so I ordered a few drinks and asked to see lunch menu . And mentioned to Charlie I’d love to eat some lunch and was it possible to give me the earliest room available so I could have an afternoon siesta with travelling . Yes I will ask Jason victor the manager was the answer. 3.15pmbwas told my room was finally ready but it should of been 3pm . Receptionist said it’s not ready come back in 15 mins . So I ordered another drink and next minute an elderly lady bounced in bar and said your room is ready now . After I had consulted the manager and told him the full story . He said nobody had asked him for an earlier room . So basically it was neither there or near for me originally asking a question in first place . So they lost out on a lunch fee and all the other meals which I was happy to pay for rather than going else where for food . Next day went up mountains had a lovely day came back in afternoon had a few drinks with some locals from Inverness and throughly enjoyed their company !! Asked a guy a the bar to watch my seat and reading glasses whilst I went to freshen up ! Literally 20 mins . Come back my drink had gone and my glasses put behind bar and the seat I was sitting on to I can only assume local people . This hotel is run like a circus overpriced drinks and overpriced food with young inattentive staff who don’t know their arse from their elbow . Won’t recommend this hotel to anybody. Honest review
