    Absolutely lovely country hotel in tiny village outside Hexham. My room was delightful and spacious, beautifully decorated and warm and cosy. Lovely welcome tray with bottled milk as well as a choice of oat, soya etc and a jar of delicious cookies as well as a fruit bowl with plates, napkins and a knife which is incredibly thoughtful! The hotel has impressive green credentials from its thermo boilers to its recycled loo paper which is an added bonus. Lovely locally sourced breakfast, cooked to order and efficiently organised. Great cosy bar area with log burner and local beers. I also really enjoyed the stargazing session at their attached observatory, nothing to fault at all at this hotel!
