This apartment formed our first disappointing impression of Brussels. The district was dirty and frightening, although the distance to the city’s major sightseeing places was about 10 min walk. The venue has no elevator (in case you have big and heavy suitcases, make sure you stay on the ground floor). Although everything was clean, the linen and the towels were worn out. Found someone else’s dirty shorts under the sofa, which means cleaning after check-out wasn’t done thoroughly. The kitchen is on another floor. The hot water was a problem: every time you take a bath, you should first make sure that the water isn’t going from hot to cold, otherwise you’ll have to dress up and run to the other floor to fix the boiler.
