Arena del Mar

I decided not to stay at a relatives beach house (too many guys, not enough beds). I booked this online (FYI: The online reservations close at 18;00 according to the host). I would stay here again. It was clean-mostly, see below. The decor and furniture were modern and cozy. It has a giant tv too. You should know that the unit I stayed in (***) had a weird musty odor. I couldn't tell if it was mold/mildew or just the odor from the apparently reclaimed wood paneling. I didn't get sick so it was more of an inconvenience or annoyance. There were a couple of other things that were bothersome, the odor notwithstanding. The shower current had mold/mildew on the corner/edge nearest to the wall (maybe that was the odor?). It wasn't hideous but a well cleaned unit shouldn't have mold, none! That last thing was a missing lightbulb in the bathroom heat lamp fixture. That's any easy fix that should have been noticed while readying it for the next tenant-just like the moldy shower curtain. I did get quoted a higher rate through this website (Agoda). The actual price (when the host ran my card) was about $28.00 less. Not sure what that was about... For a last minute bed, TV, microwave, fridge and shower, it was worth the cost. Bottom line: worth it, I'll be back.
