Had a lovely room! Little lounge area, hallway, bed and bathroom. Exceptionally clean, bed comfortable. Perfectly placed in the High Street. Definitely will stay again

I stayed at this charming hotel with a rich history and a unique blend of old and new. Conveniently located on High Street, it's a walkable distance from Guildford main rail station. However, there is no dedicated car park, so you'll need to use nearby options if you're driving.
My room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a large, comfortable bed. The downside was the noise from nearby nightlife, which made High Street quite lively at night but much quieter in the morning.
As expected for a hotel of this age, there were no lifts, so keep that in mind if stairs are a concern for you. Overall, this hotel is a historical gem with character, offering a cozy stay amidst the vibrant High Street atmosphere.

Shower leaky very slippery floor, bath also very slippery. Taps lost their Hot Cold labels. Bed comfortable. As parking is not on site, it would be nice if the hotel provided some kind of pass or reduced permit for the nearest public car park.
