The room was very spacious and clean for a solo traveler, which I really appreciated. I booked a non-smoking room, but unfortunately there was a noticeable cigarette smell coming from the bathroom. Still, overall, the condition of the room itself was good.
However, the check-in experience was extremely stressful. I went to the hotel around 7 a.m. to leave my luggage, but there was no staff at all. Check-in is done through a self check-in system using an app and a code sent by the hotel. According to the accommodation description, luggage storage was available, but there was no one there and no clear instructions.
The only contact information provided was a phone number. As a traveler, I don’t have a Swiss phone number and couldn’t make a call, and the number was not available on WhatsApp either. I eventually managed to find an email address and sent a message, but it took a very long time to receive a reply.
What made things worse was that there are no luggage lockers and no staff to supervise the luggage. I was told to simply leave my bags inside the reception area, unattended. I felt that my belongings could easily be lost or stolen.
When I came back in the afternoon to check in, I still hadn’t received the check-in code, and there was still no easy way to contact the hotel. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety.
In summary, the room itself was nice, but the lack of staff, poor communication, and unclear luggage storage process seriously affected my overall experience. Please remind that there is no staff to help you when you get a problem
