Abella Hotel in Agia Marina is one of those rare places that immediately feels like home. Although it carries the name “hotel,” it truly feels much more like a guesthouse—a warm, welcoming space where every detail is personal and thoughtfully cared for.
Located conveniently on the main road of Agia Marina, it’s just a short walk—about 100 meters—across the street to the beach. The location couldn’t be better for travelers looking to enjoy the sea, shops, and local restaurants without needing a car.
The property also offers free parking, which is perfect if you plan to rent a car—something we highly recommend. While it’s easy to reach the guesthouse by bus from Chania Airport, having your own car gives you the freedom to explore the countless stunning beaches of Crete, many of which are best accessed by car.
But what truly sets Abella apart is not just its practicality or location—it’s the people. Natalie and her husband Kostas are the heart and soul of this place. They are incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful, always going the extra mile to ensure every guest feels welcome, comfortable, and immersed in the local culture. Staying here is like being invited into someone’s home, not just as a guest, but as a friend.
Although there is a lovely pool and several great facilities, what makes Abella special is the home-like atmosphere, the care, and the personal touch. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience.
