    The building is really neat with lots of art everywhere, several options for social areas, but it is a bit confusing. They have good signage everywhere, but it's still easy to get lost for a sec or two

    Location is excellent in the centre of the city. Hostel is massive, spread across several buildings which do and don’t intersect. There’s a big kitchen, but it’s actually small for the number of people. There’s kitchen closes at 10:30pm and after that there’s no access to water, kettle, your own food… Since the kitchen is in the basement and not close to any rooms… It’s a strange and frustrating approach and it doesn’t open again until the morning. So if you want some food or tea/coffee before an early flight you’re out of luck. Closing the kitchen that early means there’s little socialising in the two large lounges… And if you want to work, there’s nothing to drink… The en-suite bathrooms are small, shower water pressure is ok. WiFi was very hit and miss. There are serious problems with their booking system and security- a fifth person (a man) arrived in our four bed room at 2am and tried to get into a couple of the already occupied beds (including a sleeping woman). It was innocently done as he assumed one bed was empty… but it easily could have been very dangerous… Abbey Court lives and thrives on its location, but it has lots of quirks that make it a frustrating and unfriendly place to stay.
